The Dawn Chorus / The Retrospective Soundtrack Players - Blogging all over the World

My name is Kyle. I am a happily failing indie/punk/folk/country/rock musician from Hampshire, UK. I have been singing and songwriting in The Dawn Chorus since 2005, and The Retrospective Soundtrack Players since 2010. I love these two bands like my brother/wife rolled into one. This blog details the shows I have played with both bands, in chronological order.

The Deads
The Visitors
The Dawn Chorus

This was a bit of a mad old night. Matt got a haircut before the gig so he was given the nickname haircut. keith's jumper looked like that of the girl from the testcard so he was christened testcard. i am boring so i have the nickname dreary. neil looks somewhat like krang's suit from teenage mutant hero turtles, so neil is now krangsuit. armed with these nicknames we took on the reg. i bloody loved it, i have never got so into a set, which is a bit weird because it didn't sound great onstage. simps was also playing like some sort of wild animal, perhaps due to the beers beforehand. he was like a drumming whirlwind. after the set it all got a bit messy, and keith wound up onstage playing tambourine with the deads! he was like some sort of deranged cross between bez and joel gion from brian jonestown. after that keith's night went a little downhill, but let's not go into that. cheers to all at prettyboy, we had a smashing night.
