The Dawn Chorus / The Retrospective Soundtrack Players - Blogging all over the World

My name is Kyle. I am a happily failing indie/punk/folk/country/rock musician from Hampshire, UK. I have been singing and songwriting in The Dawn Chorus since 2005, and The Retrospective Soundtrack Players since 2010. I love these two bands like my brother/wife rolled into one. This blog details the shows I have played with both bands, in chronological order.

We are now officially a 5-piece and it feels very good. It's given us a little kick up the arse. This was a very different Wedge show to the ones we've played in the past. Candle-lit tables! Silence requested during performances! A prize draw! Lots of Mums and Dads! Oh actually that's quite usual. It was great fun to do the songs a little more intimately, even though the only difference about our actual setup was that Simps used a snare instead of a whole kit. We played 'The Celebration' for the first time, it should be amazing in the full set. Whilst on the subject, it looks like our new EP should be out in January/February. Currently it will be called the Town/City EP and will run: The Town and The City/Lobster Telephone/End of the World Party/The Celebration/A Drop in the Ocean/The Last Day of April. Also, we have a 2-track cd thing coming out with our Winchester recordings, which are Stay Sober/Same Feeling. Exciting! x
