My name is Kyle. I am a happily failing indie/punk/folk/country/rock musician from Hampshire, UK. I have been singing and songwriting in The Dawn Chorus since 2005, and The Retrospective Soundtrack Players since 2010. I love these two bands like my brother/wife rolled into one. This blog details the shows I have played with both bands, in chronological order.

The Freebutt, Brighton
The Strange Death of Liberal England
Elle Milano
The Dawn Chorus
First ever show in Brighton. Bring on the next. The Freebutt is the wettest venue we have ever played. By this I mean that there is a dodgy air conditioner which starts off leaking a bit, then starts leaking a little bit more, then floods half of the venue. We wisely left most of our stuff next to the sign saying 'don't leave your stuff here, it will get wet'. We went on a it of a magical mystery tour to get there, thanks to a Geordie directing us up the steepest hill in the world. (Borderline Regional Racism alert) 'Aye the Freeboot, just go op that hill, ye cannae miss it'. Elle Milano were pretty good, but me, Matt and Keith were starving so went for Mexican food, which was good for me as I got to eat one of my favourite foodstuffs - refried beans - but bad for Keith as he ate bad chicken and got the poos. Whilst having this dubious treat we missed Elle Milano's singer apparently jump off the stage in a hissy fit and smash his head on a stage light. Which was a shame because I thought they were good. Strange Death were awesome, their new songs sounded really good, I hope to hear a new album pretty soon.
That will do for now
