The Dawn Chorus / The Retrospective Soundtrack Players - Blogging all over the World

My name is Kyle. I am a happily failing indie/punk/folk/country/rock musician from Hampshire, UK. I have been singing and songwriting in The Dawn Chorus since 2005, and The Retrospective Soundtrack Players since 2010. I love these two bands like my brother/wife rolled into one. This blog details the shows I have played with both bands, in chronological order.

Show was a little bit of a let down but the rest of the day was good. Had a nice lay in at Bill's in Bristol and then spent over an hour trying to find Frenchay Halls where Keith slept. Considering it's a fucking huge campus it was surprisingly well hidden. Had a lovely steak sarnie at the Tobacco Factory before buying some goodies from Aldi and getting on the road.

I guess the only disappointing thing was that we were on so early; we played pretty well and the (very small) crowd seemed to like it, but it just felt like a bit of a step backwards being on at half 8. I wasn't massive on Nambucca as a venue either, too many people hiding round the bar. After we played me Keith and Ben went to look for food but had to settle for McDonals's where there was a strange Portugese woman who grunted when she walked and nearly knocked keith's Big Mac of the table with her big bum when she sat down next to us. Mad people in London are ten a penny though aren't they?

Stayed at Claire's in Hackney and got to sleep on a proper bed which was awesome. Thanks today go to Gareth and Claire for putting us up.
