My name is Kyle. I am a happily failing indie/punk/folk/country/rock musician from Hampshire, UK. I have been singing and songwriting in The Dawn Chorus since 2005, and The Retrospective Soundtrack Players since 2010. I love these two bands like my brother/wife rolled into one. This blog details the shows I have played with both bands, in chronological order.

The tour rolls on. We left London at about 10 after some very welcome bacon sarnies - thanks again Claire - and watching a bit of The Championship. Speaking of football, Paul woke up with a sore head after Pompey had lost Harry Redknapp to Spurs. Watched the Chelsea Liverpool match in Brighton and had a good laugh at a bloke in Yates' falling a sleep over his pint and doing that head-rolling-around thing. Weather was absolutely grim but we went to the pier anyway and stuck our heads through those wooden boards with those holes that make you look like a muscle man and volumptuous woman or married couple. Also had a go on some wicked old arcade games including the one where you scan your face in and then someone has to punch it. Saw a man playing a basketball game but getting into it too much and forgetting to pull his jeans up over his builder's bum crack.
Another really nice venue, this was a Free Tibet benefit show - at least they said it was free but people seemed to be putting money into a bucket on the way in - BOOM BOOM! For the second time in 3 gigs i got lost during soundcheck - this time heroically lost and on foot. Ended up sprinting around town up and down hills to get back to the venue on time. The show was fine, only downside was having our set cut short when it didn't really seem necessary, but what can you do? It wasn't our gig after all. I forgot to say, I got flashed by a speed camera yesterday in London so I'm praying on not finding a ticket on my doormat soon. Slept at home in own bed after this show, lovely.
