My name is Kyle. I am a happily failing indie/punk/folk/country/rock musician from Hampshire, UK. I have been singing and songwriting in The Dawn Chorus since 2005, and The Retrospective Soundtrack Players since 2010. I love these two bands like my brother/wife rolled into one. This blog details the shows I have played with both bands, in chronological order.

Chris T-T has become a fantastic stage presence in recent years, he really does captivate an audience and his songbook expands and becomes more brilliant as the years pass. He really should be more popular, but the universe is unfair. C'est la vie.
She Makes War was also a one-lady multi-instrumental powerhouse AND USED TO BE IN MISS BLACK AMERICA!!! YES!!!
We did this as an acoustic three-piece with Pauly and Whynto on trumpet/keys/percussion in the usual fashion. I don't really like playing the acoustic shows - I would if we did it all the time, but it really acts as a stand-in for the real thing when we can't do full-band shows. However, tonight was decent enough fun, and all good practice. Playing an acoustic set anywhere near a Chris T-T set is not recommended though, he will just blow you away.
We got dinner at this gig too. We probably didn't earn it, but Chris and Laura were kind enough to share. We also had a slightly depressing but invigorating discussion about the (possible?) death of music formats and eventual move towards a big free cloud of music in the sky available 24/7 for pennies, if that. Boo.
