My name is Kyle. I am a happily failing indie/punk/folk/country/rock musician from Hampshire, UK. I have been singing and songwriting in The Dawn Chorus since 2005, and The Retrospective Soundtrack Players since 2010. I love these two bands like my brother/wife rolled into one. This blog details the shows I have played with both bands, in chronological order.

Well, this was typical. When I woke on this day in Brighton (my wife and I had watched Cursive the previous night and stayed over) it was a glorious day. Pauly sent me some photos from the festival and it was packed out to the rafters, hundreds of people in the sun. We were on the 2nd stage but it was still heaving. That was until around 6pm when the heavens opened, for around four hours, up to and including our set time. We were on at the same time as the big headliner Dodgy, and it was pissing with rain. I'm chuffed to say that probably 30 hardy souls braved the rain to see us play, which was awesome and avoided a car-crash scenario. Brilliantly, as I played my last song solo (The Kinks' 'Victoria'), the stage literally burst open and began leaking in about 8 places. Madness.
