The Dawn Chorus / The Retrospective Soundtrack Players - Blogging all over the World

My name is Kyle. I am a happily failing indie/punk/folk/country/rock musician from Hampshire, UK. I have been singing and songwriting in The Dawn Chorus since 2005, and The Retrospective Soundtrack Players since 2010. I love these two bands like my brother/wife rolled into one. This blog details the shows I have played with both bands, in chronological order.

Another happy 2000 trees post! This summer we didn't seek todo any gigs as my wife was expecting our firstborn, but we couldn't turn down trees when we'd been requested by fans of their Facebook page to come back and play.  It was a scorcher of a day and the benefit of playing the Thursday is that there are no other stages running so you have a captive audience! Not that we've ever played to a crowd at trees that could in any way be described as inadequate.

There was a huge love-in with OT, us and Ben during our last song (pictures below), and I also remember the St. John's ambulance staff being incredibly helpful when my wife needed to breast feed. Baby Win was only a couple of weeks old at the time so we left straight after Ben's set, but the boy can say he went to his first festival aged two weeks (admittedly he slept through our set - I'm sure he's not the first.)
